Nigerian Super Eagles legends are to visit Maiduguri, Borno State capital on Monday, our correspondent has learnt.

A source in the state's sporting circle informed the correspondent of the visit but without giving him permission to publish his name as he is not responsible for making the announcement.

Sayinna Buba, commissioner for youths and sports in the state is not immediately available to confirm the sporting legends' visit, but our correspondent learnt from credible sources that the visit, previously scheduled for today Monday, is shifted tomorrow.

Upon arrival, they are also to play a courtesy match with a team in Maiduguri.

The likes of Jay-Jay Okocha, Kanu Nwanko, Joseph Yobo and Daniel Amokachi, among others, are expected to be in the delegation.

This reporter cannot at the time of filling this report ascertain the purpose of the visit.

But their visit to Bauchi State in June was a talent hunt tour organized at the instance of a foundation, the Noah Dallaji Legacy Project, targeted at identifying young footballers for sponsorship and further training.

Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means.
