Nigerian military has again repelled another terrorist attack in Babbangida, Tarmuwa Local Government, Yobe.

Adamu, a resident who did not give his second name, told YERWA EXPRESS NEWS correspondent that the terrorists stormed the town at about 5:30 pm in four gun trucks, shooting sporadically in the town.

'After they entered the town, a fifth gun truck came to meet them but they all met a stiff resistance from the military.

'The military has really tried and the two gun trucks had to run almost immediately,' Adamu said.

He explained that several people had fled to the bush but are all now returning to the town.

'I don't know if the remaining three gun trucks were destroyed by the military or they also retreated through other axis of the town, but as we speak now, the town is calm, and the soldiers have tried.'

This is not the first time terrorists are attacking Babangida. The Fulani dominated community has become one of the major targets for them in Yobe because the people refuse to buy into their ideology.

In 2020 YERWA EXPRESS NEWS reported how the terrorists raided the traditional rulers palace in the town, for reportedly refusing to collaborate with them.

More details of the attack will follow shortly!
