BABA, the love you had for us was immeasurable, you loved us more than yourself, you sacrificed everything because of us, you gave us the best of education (both Islamic and western).

You trained us to be good, righteous and religious, you showed us practical examples of what patience, perseverance, humility and devoutness amongst others connotes.

You knew dead was fast approaching you, and so, you continuously cautioned us. Please always know that we love you and the vacuum you left can’t be filled in a thousand years or even a life time.

Years may come and go but your memory will never be erased. You will be remembered for the Love of Quran and Quran reciters.

You died in the early hours of a Friday (shortly after Fajr prayers), it has been reported that “no Muslim passes away on a Friday unless he is prevented from the trial of grave by ALLAH”.

All these are good signs that as Muslims, we are very hopeful that our father is in a better place.

However, for the love, care, immeasurable protection and concern we enjoyed from you, we shall continue to grieve and miss you until our last breath.

Our tongues will never be tired of soliciting for your forgiveness from Allah.

“Ya Allah I beg you to forgive my DAD’S shortcomings and grant him a befitting place in Jannah” AMEEN

DR MOHAMMED ABBA MUSTAPHA

Appeal for support

Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means. You can also donate working tools, which are even more primary to our work. We thank you sincerely as you help our cause.
