Nigerian Universities Commission, NUC, has approved the commencement of degree awarding programmes for Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola.
George Kushi, spokesman of Babale Martins, the deputy governor of the state disclosed the approval in a statement.
According to him, the seven fields are BA English / Literature, BA Mass Communication, BA Business Education and BSc Banking and Finance, BSc Accountancy, BSc Economics and BSc Public Administration.
Albert B. Matilah, the spokesman of the institution also said the requirements for admission into the new programmes will be placed shortly.
'With this approval, interested candidates are advised to watch out for the details of requirements for admission to be placed in the Media any time soon.
'This is a golden opportunity for all prospective candidates to take advantage and enrol in an Institution that is centrally located in the heart of the state capital,' he said.
The Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola is a higher institution established in 1991 through a merger of the Collage of Preliminary Studies Yola and the Staff Development Institute Numan.
