The Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN) on Friday in Abuja, said the company remained committed to stimulating growth of natural gas utilisation in Nigeria.
The Managing Director of GACN, Mr Olalekan Ogunleye said this during the company’s 2021 End of Year Dinner/Award with the theme “Continuity, Culture and Excellence’’.
The management emphasised that the growth of gas utilisation could be actualised in collaboration with all key gas sector participants.
The GACN was incorporated in Nigeria in Jan. 2021 with the purpose of stimulating growth of natural gas utilisation in the Nigerian domestic market among others.
“Giving the consistent support from the Federal Government, Ministry of Petroleum Resources (MPR) and Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), there is no excuse for not achieving the mandate,’’ Ogunleye said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the event recorded the recognition of some members of the company for outstanding performance.
Among them are Maryam Saleh as Health Safety Security Environment (HSSE) Champion and Ogheneovo Orighohegha as HSSE Champion runner up.
Somkenechukwu Tassie as most improved Staff, Oche Agbese as most improved staff runner up while Omosigho Egbon got the award of Champion of Excellence and Stephen Oke as best team player.
While pledging the management’s support at all times, Ogunleye said, “recognition such as this is the highest level of motivation given that among all your peers, you are the best’’.
The GACN Boss urged all the departments and units in the company to remain focused and committed in years to come in order to support the great works of the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Malam Mele Kyari, its management and the MPR.
