Gov. Buni adds eggs, chicken to school menu for feeding programme

Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe has added eggs and chicken to elementary schools’ feeding menu, the government has said in a terse statement.

Mamman Mohammed, his spokesman, who issued the statement on Tuesday, said his principal is also set to improve school supervision, training of teachers and renovation of structures.

Part of these, Mr. Mamman added, was improving the feeding menu.

He also said the governor distributed books and other instructional materials for chemistry and biology practical teaching.

The education sector in the state is under a state of emergency, which the governor declared upon coming to power
