A woman who claims to be Abba Kyari’s wife has reportedly slumped at Federal High Court in Abuja after the suspended deputy commissioner of police’s application for bail was denied.

Justice Emeka Nwite on Monday denied the bail application filed by Kyari and six other persons facing charges in drug deal.

Daily Post reported that the middle-aged woman, wearing a black Hijab, fainted while armed operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, were leading Kyari and others suspects away from the court premises.

According to the paper, she was was carried and rushed into one of the offices on the third floor of the court by some officials of the NDLEA and lawyers, adding that she was also asthmatic.

Kyari, in a motion earlier filed before Justice Inyang Ekwo sitting in the same court, denied the allegations linking him to an international drug deal by the NDLEA.

The trial was then adjourned till March 28.
