Bodies of five internally displaced persons who were murdered by members of the Islamic State of West African Province have been recovered by troops.

YERWA EXPRESS NEWS has reported how the the IDPs were killed in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno yesterday night.

The terrorists killed five out of six young boys who went into a wasteland in Saama village, some 25 kilometers from the headquarters of the LGA, to fetch tamarind.

The sixth person who escaped by the whiskers brought the news of the incident to the community, at a time it was already late to launch a search for the recovery of the bodies.

Troops and members of the Civilian JTF today swung into action and by afternoon identified and recovered the five corpses.

'Around 12:00 pm of today, soldiers, other security agencies and CJTF recovered the bodies along Saama village in the Sambisa axis,' the source said.

Our source said they were already buried according to Islamic injunctions.

Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means.
