BREAKING NEWS: Gov. Zulum dissolves state executive council

Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor Borno has dissolved the state executive council. 

The dissolution, which is with immediate effect, was contained in a statement signed by Danjuma Ali, the permanent secretary, administration and general services, on behalf of Alh. Jidda Shuwa, secretary to the state government.

According to a release by Isa Gusau, the governor's spokesman, the members were directed to hand-over affairs of their ministries to their permanent secretaries. 

The statement explained that the dissolution is to create enabling environment for interested members of the council to legally participate in forthcoming primaries and congresses of the All Progressive Congress, APC. 

Zulum expressed his appreciation to members of the executive council for the contributions while they held offices and wished. them the best of luck in future endeavors.
