PRESS RELEASE, JULY 26, 2022 | 07:40 PM
You may recall that the Borno Geographic Information Service has acquired some lands in the past few months for the implementation of a Federal Government project under National Agricultural Land Development Authority, NALDA. This project is part of efforts by the federal and state governments to carry out massive agricultural program that will holistically address food security threats in the state and the rest of the country. As such, the lands, which are specifically located along Gomboru Ngala Road, were acquired for this overriding public interest.
In this light, BOGIS has finalized now all necessary processes for the commencement of payment of compensations to titleholders of the affected properties. As such, the agency is calling on all affected parties to visit its office with valid and active bank account details for their payments to be processed.

Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means. You can also donate working tools, which are even more primary to our work. We thank you sincerely as you help our cause.
