The Nigerian Defense Headquarters has offered a reward of N5 million for anyone who can provide information that will lead to the arrest of 19 bandits’ commanders.
Maj Gen. Jimmy Akpor, director information of the headquarters disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
This follows the publication of the names and photographs of the commanders earlier today by the headquarters.
Among the wanted commanders is Bello Turji, who has been a notorious leader of the bandits operating around Zamfara, Sokoto and Niger axis.
He is known for mass killing and abduction of hundreds of people including women and children for ransom in Zamfara.
Another bandit leader who appeared in the photograph is Alh. Ado Aliero.
He hails from Yankuzo village in Tsafe Local Government Area, of Zamfara State. He is a gang leader of a group of terrorists hibernating in Tsafe and Gusau local government areas of the State.
He led terrorists in several attacks in Zamfara, Katsina and beyond.
The headquarters said any information regarding the whereabout of these commanders will be treated with all seriousness in order to bring an end to the terrorists’ activities.
