Hauwa Abubakar, the overseeing commissioner of justice and attorney general of Borno has called on the people of the state to come out en masse to re-elect her principal, Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum.

The attorney general made the call on Thursday evening shortly after receiving an award of excellence from a youth from in her locality, the Konduga Youth Forum.

The commissioner who was awarded for giving back to her community said Zulum deserves a second term, as all she has been doing is based on the opportunity he has given her to serve the people.

'We all have seen the work he has done and the only way we can pay him back is by coming out en masse to vote him,' Hauwa said.

'What makes him different from others is that, he has his people at heart and he is all after serving them.'

While thanking the youth for the award, she urged them to use their powerful tool, the PVC (short for permanent voters card), to vote for Zulum so that he takes Borno to the next level.

Presenting the award, Hussaini Lawan Usman, the state chairman of the forum thanked the commissioner for her support to the people of Konduga.

'I assure you that we have no candidate other than Zulum because of two major reasons:

'One: His insistence that peace must be restored in Maiduguri and two his achievements in the area of governance which are very apparent,' the chairman said.

Appeal for support

Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means. You can also donate working tools, which are even more primary to our work. We thank you sincerely as you help our cause.
