The Bauchi State Shari'ah Commission has invited Sheikh Idris Abdulazeez to clarify his recent comment during Ramadan Tafsir in the state.

In the Tafsir, the sheik said in Hausa Language: 'Kai! na Manzon Allahn ma bamu son taimakonsa karewanta kenan.'

The comment ignited a series of reactions among Islamic clerics across the country, with some looking at it as a blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad Sallahu Alihi Wasallam.

The invitation letter was signed by Ibrahim Musa Yasin on Thursday and made available to this paper today.

'I am under instruction to formally write and invite you to an interactive session (Munakasha) for clarification over your utterances made during Ramadan Tafsir session in which you said "Kai! na Manzon Allahn ma bamu son taimakonsa karewanta kenan

'Your kind response will go a long way to de-generating the ongoing tension among the public for the peaceful coexistence among the Islamic religious faithful,' the letter read.

The session is scheduled to take place tomorrow by 10 AM at the Development Exchange Center in the state.
