The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has upheld the judgement of Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, declaring Nasiru Gawuna of All Progressive Congress as winner of the governorship election in the state.
The court delivered its judgement on Friday in Abuja.
Few weeks ago, the Kano Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had sacked Gov. Abba Yusuf of New Nigeria People's Party, and declared Gawuna as the winner of the March governorship election held in the state.
Gov. Abba filed a case to the Appeal Court challenging the judgement of the tribunal.
While delivering judgement, the appellate court dismissed the appeal filed by Gov. Abba.
