Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, who met President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday has said that the establishment of Federal College of Education, Gwoza has been approved.

Zulum said the approval is for an immediate take-off of the college.

'I’m pleased to notify you that the president has approved the immediate takeoff of the Federal College of Education Gwoza,' Zulum said.

The government has already provided a temporary site for the college last year.

The governor said the Gwoza Government Secondary School in Vile is to temporarily host the college, before a permanent site is in place.

Zulum also discussed the repatriation of displaced persons that are indigenes of Borno State from the Republic of Chad, Niger and Cameroon which has been suspended.

He said President Tinubu has given his commitment that it will resume.

'We started repatriating them during the last administration. But because of the election period and rainy season, we stopped the repatriation exercise. Again, Mr. President has given me his commitment that the government of Nigeria will resume the repatriation exercise very soon,' Zulum said.

Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means.
