BREAKING: CDS leads service chiefs to Borno, interface with troops

Gen. Leo Irabo, Nigerian Chief of Defense Staff has arrived Borno for an operational visit to the headquarters of Operation Hadin Kai, the North East Theater Command.

The CDS was accompanied by other security service chiefs to assess successes recorded on the fight against terrorism in the state, as well commend troops headlining the onslaught against the terrorists.

They were received by Major Gen. Ibrahim Ali, the theater commander, at the headquarters of the theater's command for intelligence briefing and other briefings on activities of the operations by resident commanders.

Operation Hadin Kai is counterinsurgency operations in the North East region of Nigeria, first set up in 2015 to checkmate the excess of Boko Haram.

YERWA EXPRESS NEWS can report massive successes recorded against the terrorists.

Recently, over 41 ISWAP members were reported to have been killed and several arms and ammunition including gun trucks were recovered by the troops.

This is in addition to the over 100,000 of the terrorists and their families who surrendered to the Nigerian authorities as the troops intensified attacks on the enclaves of the terrorists.
