Chadian Interministerial Committee, led by Benguela Guidjinga, the Inspector General of Police, has repatriated 504 foreign beggars to their countries.

A statement made by the Chadian government on Wednesday said the initiative aims to improve the image of the city and strengthen the safety of citizens of the country.
In addition to the 504 beggars, 186 foreign beggars with their consular cards have been taken care of by their respective embassies.
It also said, 592 other beggars continue to be monitored on the site; the beggars are mostly from Niger and northeastern Nigeria.

Borno State Government has earlier outlined plans to repatriate Nigerian citizens currently residing in Baga Sola, a part of Chad.
Governor Babagana Umara Zulum outlined this plan while hosting a high-level delegation of Chad led by General Abdulkarim Idris Derby Itno.
The governor also announced his steps to strengthen economic relations with the country.
It is not clear if this repatriation is a part of the previous engagements.
Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means. You can also donate working tools, which are even more primary to our work. We thank you sincerely as you help our cause.
