Thinklab Group has partnered with Ansar Security Services to manage their facilities in Borno.
According to Musa Gwary, Thinklab’s spokesperson, the agreement engaged Al-Ansar for the facility management of Thinklab Estates across the state.
He explained that the handover of the 600-housing unit projects in Bakassi GRA and Teachers Village marks a turning point for Borno as a destination for investment.
He said this progress resulted from a Public-Private Partnership supported by the state government under Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum to revive infrastructure and encourage private participation.
Dr. Sa’id Alkali Kori, founder of Thinklab Group and a Borno citizen, led the effort to complete the previously abandoned estates.
He said the project succeeded because of the policies and commitment of the Zulum administration, which has worked to reduce investment risks and rebuild confidence in the state’s economy.
The involvement of Al-Ansar Security Services, owned by the Al-Ansar Foundation and founded by Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, another Borno citizen, shows the strength of local expertise.
During the handover, Dr. Abba Damuna, Thinklab’s project director, thanked the state government, stating that 'we are here because of the support and leadership of Governor Professor Babagana Zulum.'
He added that the administration created the opportunity for this Public-Private Partnership to succeed, turning a stalled project into a model of urban living and signaling that Borno welcomes investment.
Leaders of Al-Ansar Security shared similar views, crediting improved security and business conditions for enabling large-scale operations.
A senior representative stated, 'Governor Zulum’s efforts in securing our state and his commitment to local enterprise have allowed us to grow and take on responsibilities.'
The representative added, 'we are honored to protect this project, which stands as a sign of Borno’s resilience and progress.'
Conflict Reporting is dangerous and risky. Our reporters constantly face life-threatening challenges, sometimes surviving ambushes, kidnap attempts and attacks by the whiskers as they travel and go into communities to get authentic and firsthand information. But we dare it every day, nonetheless, in order to keep you informed of the true situation of the victims, the trends in the conflicts and ultimately help in peace building processes. But these come at huge cost to us. We are therefore appealing to you to help our cause by donating to us through any of the following means. You can also donate working tools, which are even more primary to our work. We thank you sincerely as you help our cause.
