Adamu Lawan Zaufanjimba of Borno State was unanimously elected vice president of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria.
His election followed his earlier victory as North East Zonal Representative, where he won by four votes to two.
The elections were held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, on Monday.
Zaufanjimba thanked delegates for their confidence and pledged to provide representation for the North East while supporting reforms in the sport nationwide.

He referred to the recently concluded All Africa Senior Championships 2026 in Botswana as a sign of progress for Nigerian badminton.
He said he attended the championship alongside the federation’s president, Francis Orbih.
Zaufanjimba said he witnessed the potential of Nigerian players during the competition.
He said the athletes require structured support and an enabling environment to compete globally.
He said strategic planning and collective effort would help Nigerian badminton gain stronger continental and international recognition.
Francis Orbih was also re-elected president of the federation for a third consecutive term.
He emerged unopposed and secured all 13 votes cast.
Orbih congratulated the newly elected board members and expressed confidence in the new executive team.
He acknowledged past achievements and called for efforts to strengthen the federation’s progress.
He urged unity and collaboration among stakeholders to advance the sport’s development.
He said sustained progress would require shared responsibility and commitment from board members and partners.
